Pecan Brownies

Ingredients

2 cups              Pecans, chopped

1 1 /2 cups       Sugar

1 /2 cup           Brown sugar

1 cup               Butter

1 /2 cup           Chocolate chips, semisweet

4                      Eggs

2 tsp                Vanilla

1 cup               Cocoa

1 cup               Flour

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small saucepot, place pecans, butter, sugars and chocolate chips over a low heat. Stir constantly until sugars and chocolate melt. Place the mixture in a mixing bowl and add vanilla. Begin beating mixture with an electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time. Sift together the flour and cocoa and add it to the rest of the ingredients. Continue to beat on medium speed for one minute. Pour batter into a buttered 8×12-baking dish. Bake 30-35 minutes.

Yield: 12-16 brownies
