Cheese Straws

Ingredients

1/2 cup Butter, unmelted
1/2 lb Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 3/4 cups Flour
1 tsp Cayenne pepper
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Place butter and cheese in the container of a food processor. Add flour, cayenne, and Worcestershire and blend thoroughly. If you don’t use a food processor, knead by hand or use an electric mixer with a paddle attachment. Divide dough into to a ball and roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/ 8-inch thick. Use a knife to cut strip about 1 /2-inch wide and five inches long.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes. Rotate pan half way through baking. Cool and serve. Yield: five dozen
